"The entire top 10 turned us down. Bruh, these dudes is literally saying no or asking for crazy dollars that they know they can't get. They know what they are doing, man. The ones that aren't straight up saying no are just overpricing themselves, so right now, we're going through the top 15 to see if we can secure something....Amir Mansour will fight all of these dudes. I will fight anyone...Listen man, I would fight either Klitschko right now for $50,000 because I know I would get him. I know I would clip him and then I will make my money after I knock one of them out...They would have to carry Amir Mansour out of that ring, man, and I swear on that. I put that on my kids, man, I would fight the Klitschkos for $50,000 and the only way for them to beat me is to carry me out of that ring...all I'm saying is let's stop awarding dudes that laid down the first time. I mean, if Arreola was 'trying', then his best just ain't good enough and I dare any fan out there to say that he has improved since...I just want to let the fans know that I really am trying to get some of these guys in the ring. The same guys that they want to see me fight, I want to fight, trust me. And when I get them in that ring, you gonna see why I wanted to fight them," stated fast-rising heavyweight contender Amir Mansour, who was surprised to learn that so many contenders seem reluctant to face each other to earn their shot at the title. You don't want to miss what else he had to say about Chauncy Welliver pricing himself out of a fight and much more. Check it out!
PC: Amir, what's good fam?
AM: Ah man, listen, trying to find somebody to fight me, man. The entire top 10 turned us down. Bruh, these dudes is literally saying no or asking for crazy dollars that they know they can't get. They know what they are doing, man. The ones that aren't straight up saying no are just overpricing themselves, so right now, we're going through the top 15 to see if we can secure something.
PC: Do you have a date set?
AM: Yeah man, we going on December 2nd. I got a message from someone sending me to this interview that Chauncy Welliver did saying he would fight me for the right price. This pussy ass motherfucker asking for $100,000 to fight me. We not gonna front like we making millions of dollars right now for these fights, fam. We all trying to climb the rankings, so we can get in position to make that kind of money. But he knew, given the venue and the fact that this isn't a HBO or Showtime fight, that they didn't have that kind of money to offer. Chauncy Welliver is a pussy, man, and he better keep my name out of his mouth because I'm going to call his bluff. As a matter of fact, we don't have $100,000 to offer him, but just to show everybody that I would fight this pussy in a heartbeat, whatever they pay me to fight him, I will tell them to pay him the same thing. Let's up the stakes. Whatever they pay me, he will make. You can't say my name without me calling your bluff because Amir Mansour will fight all of these dudes. I will fight anyone!
PC: That's strong words my man. So you feel he asked for an unreasonable amount of money for a fight with you knowing it wouldn't be there?
AM: Hell yeah, bruh. These dudes know they only way you going to make good money in this division right now is one or two ways. You either have to be fighting the Klitschko Brothers, or taking the available money to climb that ladder to fight the Klitschko Brothers. He knows there aint that kind of money in this type of fight. That's a bitch move. See I don't play games like that man.
PC: He's asking for $100k to fight you and I have you on record saying you would fight David Haye before he loss for $50k.
AM: Listen man, I would fight either Klitschko right now for $50,000 because I know I would get him. I know I would clip him and then I will make my money after I knock one of them out. I want to bring them belts back over here, man. So how the hell we gonna pay Welliver double what I would look for to fight a Klitschko Brother to fight me? He is pricing himself out. And if you want to do that, that's fine, but be real to the fans. Tell them that you're looking for way more money than what you could be paid. These dudes try to act like they really want to fight and then ask for some outrageous money.
PC: At the end of the day, you just want to fight guys that are going to get you closer to the Klitschkos?
AM: That's what all of us top 10 to 15 guys should be trying to do, but they gotta understand we have to fight each other to accomplish that and we can't ask for money that ain't there. Chauncy Welliver should be in the same boat that I'm in as far as trying to get at these dudes to make the kind of money he's asking for. Don't get me wrong, there are some guys out there in the top 10 that don't have anything to gain by fighting me. Chris Arreola has nothing to gain by fighting me. He's fought one of the brothers already and now he is ranked #1 and pretty much in line to fight the other one. I ain't mad at him. This is a business and a hustle at the same time. He doing his thing and at the end of the day, you do what you gotta do and fight who you gotta fight to get that #1 ranking. But at the same time, he is a repeat. He is a rehash of something that we have already seen. And really, he didn't do nothing with the first opportunity he had. Here is the thing bruh, I don't mind rehashing a guy that went out and gave his all and came up short, but none of these guys are doing that. And taking a beating isn't given it your all because I know people will say Adamek gave it his all. No, he didn't. He took a beatdown. They would have to carry Amir Mansour out of that ring, man, and I swear on that. I put that on my kids, man, I would fight the Klitschkos for $50,000 and the only way for them to beat me is to carry me out of that ring. When I was watching the Adamek fight, I was thinking, "I would knock this dude [Vitali] out! I'm telling you big bruh, I would knock this dude out cold, so all I'm saying is let's stop awarding dudes that laid down the first time. I mean, if Arreola was "trying", then his best just ain't good enough and I dare any fan out there to say that he has improved since.
PC: I understand Alexander Povetkin isn't fighting Evander Holyfield in December and is looking for an American heavyweight to fight in December. Hasim Rahman is the leading candidate right now.
AM: (Laughing) This is what I'm talking about, man. This dude...and not knocking "Rock", but he has had many opportunities. I have a date in December. We can use my date or Povetkin's date, but if they called me tonight, I would take that fight. Let's stop fighting bums to climb this ladder, man, and fight each other.
PC: I hear you my man. Well best of luck in December. I hope you can secure one of the big names in the division. Keep doing your thing, man. Is there anything else you want to say?
AM: I just want to let the fans know that I really am trying to get some of these guys in the ring. The same guys that they want to see me fight, I want to fight, trust me. And when I get them in that ring, you gonna see why I wanted to fight them.
