I was just staying low key, you know, but man, I'm looking to knock some heads off in 2012," stated former welterweight champion Shane Mosley, who shared his thoughts on the recent rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito, his future plans, and much more. BT: What's good Sugar Man? I just wanted to touch base with you real quick to see if you had a chance to see that Cotto-Margarito rematch?
SM: I seen it. Cotto was doing a lot of movement. He moved around a lot, moved away, tried to outbox him, which is good, you know, he's supposed to box him. He had to move like that because of that style of Margarito. But see, Cotto was still going hit. I wasn't getting hit. That's the difference. Cotto was still getting hit with shots; I wasn't getting hit with shots. I was cracking him. I was hitting him and not getting hit. I was swimming without getting wet (laughing).
BT: Are you still hoping to set up a rematch with either one of them or are you looking at some other options?
SM: Whatever is available; whatever they want to do. I'm just trying to figure out what somebody wants to do because I'm ready to get in there and knock somebody off. I'm looking to knock people out, man. My achilles is not going to be messed up. I'm looking pretty good already. I was sparring with Kermit [Cintron] and he'll tell you how good I am.
BT: Oh, word? I didn't know you were working with Cintron as he prepared for that Alvarez fight. Are you coming back at 154 then?
SM: I'm just saying, I'm looking forward to getting back into the ring. It doesn't really matter who it is. As long as they're not 160 or a big 154-pounder. I'm a little '54 and big '47. Somebody like Canelo, Cotto, somebody like that.
BT: I gotcha. I figured 147 is still a possibility too, especially considering all the young talent that Golden Boy has fighting there. They got Victor Ortiz, Devon Alexander, and Marcos Maidana all fighting at 147 now, and Amir Khan will eventually move up to 147 too.

SM: I'm just excited to get back in the ring. I was looking at Canelo Alvarez, but whatever. Whoever wants to choose me, they can choose me and we can make it happen.
