Looking to take his career to the next level, undefeated WBA "regular" jr. middleweight champion Austin Trout (24-0, 14 KOs) has signed with famed adviser Al Haymon. "I have officially signed with Al Haymon," Trout recently stated. He's the second fighter in less than a month to sign with Haymon, following in the footsteps of undefeated middleweight contender Peter Quillin (26-0, 20 KOs), who signed with Haymon about 4 weeks ago.
Trout last fought this past November, successfully defending his title with a 6th round TKO victory over Frank LoPorto. Although he has yet to secure an opponent for his next bout, Trout can rest assured that he's guaranteed to get much more exposure now that he's working with someone with the influence and clout of Haymon. He now joins a growing stable of fighters that already includes Andre Berto, Adrien Broner, Paul Williams, Antonio Tarver, Jermain Taylor, Gary Russell Jr., Seth Mitchell, Peter Quillin, Chris Arreola, and of course Floyd Mayweather.
