FightHype.com briefly caught up with one of the top kickboxers in the world, K-1 Max superstar "Iron" Mike Zambidis. With a 50% KO ratio, Zambidis is a knockout artist who holds wins over fighters like Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto, Pete Spratt and John Wayne Parr. Check out what he had to say about his future plans as he looks forward to fighting at the end of February.
TN: How are you doing?
MZ: I am fine, in very good shape and ready for my next challenge.
TN: What's new?
MZ: I'm probably going to fight in Australia at the end of February.
TN: Do you know who you're fighting next?
MZ: No.
TN: Is there anyone you'd like to face?
MZ: I'll fight whoever they choose for me to fight.
TN: Is it true you're training with Ramon Dekkers?
MZ: Not currently. I trained at his gym for a couple of weeks in order to prepare for K-1 Max 2007. It went very well.
TN: You've stepped into the ring with just about everyone. Who has been your toughest opponent?
MZ: Hasn't come yetÂ…
TN: You have such incredible knockout power. How did you develop this?
MZ: Hard training and willpower.
TN: Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans in the US and around the world?
MZ: Thank you very much for your support. You give me a lot of courage.
