Check out some snippets from the interview:

On his debut against Frank Mir and what he learned in the loss...

"In my mind, I was winning the fight and I made a foolish, amateur mistake, one that we had worked on not to do and that was step into him. I had him in a very dominant position and I gave that position up and decided to stand up. I was doing all the right things until the very last second."

"I pretty much dominated the whole fight until the finish. I did a lot of good things. I defended leg kicks, I landed a right hand. On the ground, I, you know, was transitioning well on the bottom and doing all the right things that I had been training to do."

On Kimbo Slice and the comparisons made to him...

"I see Kimbo as CBS and EliteXC's marketing tool, you know? UFC promotes fighters, you know, and in return, they become superstars. So Kimbo's a name and a guy with...Kimbo showed his true self in his last fight against, um, I don't even know who he fought, that's how popular it was."

On his upcoming fight with Heath Herring...

"We brought the right guys in for this camp, I believe, to push me...So, I mean, I don't feel threatened by him at all. We've prepared diligently on winning this fight."

"Supposedly he's coming in heavier and in better condition than he's ever been. We've all heard that one before too."

[Editor's note: Heath Herring was inconspiscuously in attendance at the July 19th Affliction card and he definitely appeared to be in better condition than he's ever been in. Although he declined to do any interviews, most likely out of fear of repercussions from the UFC, he did say he was weighing in at a ripped 255 lbs.]

"Everybody's got holes in their game and I just...hopefully, we've found them all and that's what we're training to fight, you know, to beat what he's not good at and I don't think, he's not a good wrestler at all and if we just control him on the mat, we're gonna win this fight."

A lot more on his training and life outside the Octagon in the full interview.
