SHANE MOSLEY:

If you missed the chat session with three-division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley, check the entire transcript to see what he had to say. "Workouts are going great. I'm in tremendous shape. I feel like I'm 2 to 3 times better than I was against Cotto. It's funny to say, but I feel like this is the begininning of my new career," he stated and you don't want to miss what else he had to say about Mayorga, Margarito, Mayweather, Cotto, De La Hoya, Pacquiao and much more as he answered questions directly from the fans.

TheHype: FightHype would like to welcome Shane Mosley to tonight's chat session.

SHANE MOSLEY: What's up Fighthype!

hardhead: What up Shane big fan, was really devastated after the Forrest fight one of my saddest moments as a boxing fan. What is your walk around weight when you're not in training?

SHANE MOSLEY: I walk around at about 165.

mikerg: How do you see an Oscar and Manny fight playing out?

SHANE MOSLEY: I think Oscar is too big for him, but I don't think that fight is going to happen.

dp2xlt: Hey shane....do you think Oscar should fight Margarito as opposed to fighting Pacquiao?

SHANE MOSLEY: No, I think I should fight Margarito.

mosleyfan: Who do you like in that Mora-forrest fight?

SHANE MOSLEY: I want to pick Mora, but I'm not sure. I haven't even seen the first one to make a decision. I like Sergio more as a person.

Bryan B-Money Bradley: Sugar Shane welcome to the Fighthype chat! I've been a fan of yours for many years. Against Cotto this past November, I thought you deserved a draw at the very worst. How has training been going for the Mayorga fight and are you ready to deal with any foul play he might have to offer?

SHANE MOSLEY: Workouts are going great. I'm in tremendous shape. I feel like I'm 2 to 3 times better than I was against Cotto. It's funny to say, but I feel like this is the begininning of my new career.

supahstupah: Do you think Zab quit against Clottey? Do you think he could have kept fighting with that cut?

SHANE MOSLEY: I don't think the question was the cut. The referee said Zab couldn't see and that's why it was stopped. Only Zab can answer that question.

dax: Are you expecting Mayorga to act more crazy as the fight gets closer?

SHANE MOSLEY: I really dont know. It's funny to say, but I like Mayorga. He's the bad boy of boxing. There is no grey area with him. He either likes you or he don't and he lets you know.

hardhead: how's your son's boxing coming along , i heard he was fighting amatuer? is he up there training with you?

SHANE MOSLEY: His boxing is coming along well. He was up here training with me and I sparred with him a little before my partners got up here. He's 4-0 and fighting this Sunday.

dlrjr327: Mr. Mosley, first I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to answer our questions. Shane I noticed that during the round table interview Mayorga asked for an autograph. Do you feel that that was geniune or could he possiblly wear those gloves on fight night?

SHANE MOSLEY: I think it was genuine. They cased the gloves and he wanted to put it up in his house.

Bryan B-Money Bradley: Shane, there's no question the welterweight division is the hottest division in boxing. You're clearly one of it's top contenders. We see fans and media already labeling Margarito as the king of the welterweights (prematurely, I feel); they forget that Paul Williams beat him 13 months ago and that loss has gone unavenged by Margarito. Do you feel he needs to beat Williams to earn that distinction?

SHANE MOSLEY: I feel he needs to beat me to earn that! Styles makes fights and Paul has the style for Margarito.

mosleyp4p: Do you think your fight with Mayorga is more PPV worthy than Hopkins-Pavlik? Hopkins ain't exactly packin houses. You and Mayorga are guaranteed to be a great fight.

SHANE MOSLEY: I have to agree it is more worthy, but it is what it is and maybe Pavlik is the guy they're looking at as the PPV guy. I think me and Mayorga is definitely PPV worthy. They're getting a steal having me and Mayorga on HBO. They should take advantage of that. Hopkins is a Hall of Famer though.

dlrjr327: Shane, with you being a partner with Golden Boy Promotions, do you think a future fight with The Golden Boy out of the question?

SHANE MOSLEY: I can't really answer that question. His last fight is supposed to be with Mayweather. You never know in boxing.

Bryan B-Money Bradley: Shane, do u feel Mayorga makes it the distance?

SHANE MOSLEY: No!

ktf1674: shane why did u not put the pressure on cotto towards the end of the fight and why did you not work the body more you could have gotten him out of there?

SHANE MOSLEY: I don't make excuses, but the floor was slippery. I was ice skating in there, but I was walking him down.

bricktown: If you were playing matchmaker and you had to make the biggest fight in boxing right now, what would it be?

SHANE MOSLEY: Shit...

SHANE MOSLEY: Mayweather-Mosley is definitely the biggest, but Pacman and Oscar is big too!

SHANE MOSLEY: True fans of boxing knows Mayweather-Mosley is the one though.

Bryan B-Money Bradley: Shane, you are a fighter who keeps his boxing life professional and clean. You stay in the gym, work out, stay in shape, and have pretty hardcore training camps from what I hear and read. What do you make of Mayorga's out of the ring habits such as the smoking and drinking? That's crazy!

SHANE MOSLEY: I think a lot of it is an act. I think he does smoke a little bit because he puffs a cigarette too well not to smoke. I'm not innocent either though. I take a sip on my off time, but my cleanness will be the difference.

TheHype: FightHype would like to thank Shane Mosley for taking time out to chat with us tonight

SHANE MOSLEY: Thanks for having me and talk to you guys next time.

FIGHTHYPE FAN PHONE CALL
That was real cool, I basically kept it short as I know he's in training and working hard. I want to thank Shane for always being the classy and cool person that he is and taking his time out to chat with the fans and myself.

I asked him if he was disappointed in the Judah fight falling through and he said that he was a little disappointed at first because he was looking forward to fighting Judah and the money would've been very good but that he's straight with money so he's moved on and is ready to give the fans a great performance against Mayorga. I told him I thought Mayorga was Taylor made for him and that he should look very good in that fight. He also said that he knows that there's some people out there that think he's a little washed up but that his eager to get in the ring with Mayorga and put on a great fight for the fans and show that he can still win and win impressively. He also said that he's feeling great and is throwing about 140 punches a round and the one good thing about the Judah fight falling through was that he was already getting into good shape so when he came into camp for Mayorga he just had to fine tune everything in preparation. Now he's just eager and ready to go and wants to put on P4P performance and get back to the top and the Mayorga fight is his first step to getting there.

Other than that I just chatted about a little small talk and how I was a big fan and will always support him and he gave some words of encouragement and basically that was that. Of course very pleasant person and real cool guy.

Thanks again Hype.
