CAIN VELASQUEZ VS. BROCK LESNAR
ROUND 1
Lesnar comes out fast charging for the takedown, but he wasn't able to get it and Velasquez stuff it. A couple of knees from Lesnar soften Velasquez up though until he is able to finally get the takedown. Velasquez easily works his way back to his feet. Both men jockey for position against the cage. Lesnar get a quick double leg takedown, but velasquz springs back up to his feet. Lesnar is looking a little winded already. Velasquez grabs a leg and surprisingly elects to get his own takedown. Velasquez is on Lesnar's back where he starts reigning down some devastating shots. Lesnar gets up. He charges towards Velasquez, but eats a left hook that causes him to stumbles across the cage. Velasquez jumps on him and lands a series of shots and a devastaing knee that floors the champion. Velasquez jumps on him again and reigns down some heavy blows to a defenseless Lesnar in the fetal position. The champion simply covers up while Velaquez patiently picks his shots and lands left hands, right hands and elbows with accuracy. Lesnar slowly lumbers to his feet cowering against the cage. Another righ hand from Velasquez drops Lesnar. Again, Velasquez jumps on him and continues to batter the bloody and busted up face of Lesnar. That's it. It's over as the referee calls a halt to the abuse and Velasquez becomes the new UFC heavyweight champion, not to mention the first ever Mexican heavyweight champion in combat sports.
