Wednesday was Manny Pacquiao's media day open workout at Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California and for the boxing press in attendance, it was like Christmas came early. The entire Pacquiao camp, made famous through Pacquiao's numerous HBO 24/7 appearance, were there for the event, including Freddie Roach, Bob Arum, Buboy Fernandez, Bobby Pacquiao, Alex Ariza, Shane Langford holding the fort down, and of course the man of the hour himself, Manny.
The doors opened at 1:00pm and Freddie and Bob made their rounds with the press. Manny arrived an hour later and, after getting his hands wrapped, came out and spent an hour giving the entire press at ringside brief interviews. After stretching with Alex Ariza, training began with work on the mitts with Freddie. The double-end bag, the speed bag, jump rope, and an ab routine shortly followed.
Surrounding the gym were, of course, a legion of Manny's fans hoping to get an autograph or picture with the Filipino icon. Check out some of my own pictures from the big day.
