FightHype.com recently reached out to undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd "Money" Mayweather to find out if the latest rumor about him was true. As expected, Mayweather confirmed that the reports about him betting $10 million on the Denver Broncos to win the Super Bowl are 100% false. To our surprise, however, Mayweather revealed a new scoop to us. Evidently, his personal massage therapist, Doralie "Bad" Medina, is starting her own makeup line and Mayweather is partnering with her to venture into the cosmetic industry. Check out what they both had to say about this latest business move.

BT: Hey Doralie.

DM: Hi, how are you?

BT: I'm good. Actually, I was calling to see if you guys heard the latest rumor. Apparently, Floyd's dropping $10 million on the Broncos to win the Super Bowl.

DM: (Laughing) No, that's not true at all. Floyd was just laughing about that, but no, Ben, you can let everyone know that it's not true.

FM: (Heard in the background) How many times do I have to say if it doesn't come from me, Leonard [Ellerbe] or Al [Haymon], it's not true?

BT: (Laughing) I hear Floyd talking about it now. Nuff said. Yo, while I've got you on the line, I was talking to Floyd the other day and he mentioned something about you starting a makeup line. What made you want to do that?

DM: I just want to introduce something different. I don't know if you know too much about myself, but I'm pretty colorful. I like wearing colors. I don't like to be simple and just wear jeans and a t-shirt. Well, if I do, it definitely has to have like dramatic shoes or my makeup has to stand out. I don't like to be very plain. That's why I wanted to come out with a makeup line because every time I go to these stores, I fall in love with certain colors and they always happen to be limited edition colors. I started off with 7 colors and all of them were basically almost like limited edition colors and I wanted that to be available to everyone at all times.

BT: You know, now that you mention it, I don't really know much about you. I mean, obviously I know who you are, but how did you first connect with Floyd and become part of the team?

DM: It was pretty instant, actually. I was introduced to him by a friend and he was asking me questions about what I do; just really putting me on the spot. I was like the most shy person. I'd blush from someone just looking at me. But he was asking me questions about what I do, and I just didn't want to answer that question because there was just like a bunch of guys there. You know, I was thinking if I said I was a massage therapist, they'd go, "Ooooh, she's a massage therapist." Eventually I did tell him and he yelled across the table to Reala like, "Oh, guess what she does! She's a massage therapist." He told me he needed one because he had a fight coming up. You know, I live in LA and a lot of people tell you things and I never take it seriously. So when he told me he needed a massage therapist, I was just like, "Oh, okay. That's nice." And then the next morning, my friend called and said, "Floyd needs you to give him a massage. He's very serious. He's no joke." I had a 2-seater, a Porsche, so I had to get my sister's Cayenne. That's how I would go to my private clients. So I went to his room and it was just weird because I'm used to massaging my clients and it's just them relaxing. I go to his room and there's like so many people and they were watching basketball. I asked him if he was ready and he's like, "Oh no, just relax." I'm just like, "Okay." It went from that to everyone going to the mall, and then we went out to eat. I'm like, "Oh my God. What is going on? When is he going to get a massage." So, I mean, I finally did get to it and he called me again the next day. After like maybe 3 times of calling me, he told me, "Okay, so are you coming?" I was like, "What do you mean?" And he's like, "Well, I told you I need a massage therapist and I have a fight coming up, so I need you to pack your stuff and come." I was kind of afraid because I've never really moved anywhere for something like this and my family, I didn't know what they would say. My sister, she's like the person I look up to and I told her about it and I was shocked that she actually said, "No, go. It's a great opportunity. If anything, you can always come back." And that was definitely true. So I did come. It was a little awkward because I was never used to being around so many people. I always kind of kept to myself, and it was always like a party at his house, so it took awhile for me to actually feel like I fit in. But I mean, it's definitely been something different and something I'm definitely not used to. Sometimes I feel like it's a life I'm not used to, but it's a life I guess I chose.

BT: I'm sure a lot of people would switch places with you if they could (laughing).

DM: Well, yeah (laughing).

BT: Well I knew that you were Floyd's personal massage therapist, but when did you start dabbling in the cosmetic industry?

DM: For so long, when I was in school, I wanted to be a fashion designer. I knew I wanted to have my own business in something and I was always really good at doing my makeup. I just collected everything; clothes, bags, shoes, makeup, everything. So my friend says, "You need to get something together. You need to start your own company." I've been wanting to do that, but I just didn't know what to do and where to start or who to call. So I was putting my money away instead of spending it recklessly and I got together a little team and we started working on lip glosses. I wanted to do all of that on my own and show Floyd how appreciative I am by surprising him. But once I got my samples for them, I just couldn't resist and I showed them to him. At first he didn't seem to interested. He was kind of like, "Oh, that's nice." Then when he saw I was very serious about it, he actually offered to help me. I didn't know how serious he was about that, but he's really been completely on top of it. I haven't been pushing him because I just feel like if he wants to help me, he's gonna help me. I'm not gonna force the issue, but he's always asking me, "How's your line going along?" I'm so happy that he's actually on board with everything. I feel like the reason why he's helping me is because he sees I'm trying to help myself and I'm not expecting him to do everything for me.

FM: You know what I like about Doralie? She's very, very positive and very, very confident, and all that she's ever tried to do is uplift everyone within the team. That's how she is. Even though she's a Leo, a lion, she's very, very quiet and she stays to herself. She's an unbelievable person. You gotta realize this, she's the first one to know who I'm gonna fight because most of the time, when I get the information and make the decision, she's with me because I get a massage every day, 7 days a week. She's very, very close to me. I mean, this is the person that has to make sure that I'm stretched and I'm right every day. She has to basically go around the world with me to make sure I'm okay. Obviously she's an attractive woman, and with her being an attractive woman and me being a celebrity entertainer, they try to make us an item or say things in different blogs, but all she's been is a loyal friend. We've built a friendship over the years; no different than you and me. Now, she's about to take her make-up line to the next level and I'm supporting her.

BT: That's wassup, Champ. You told me about her starting a makeup line, but I had no idea you were getting involved with it too.

FM: She already stacked a lot of her own money up; nearly $600,000 in 4 years, and she's decided to invest that money into her own makeup line, the BadMedina Makeup Line. She's got so many different exotic colors. We're moving slow, but there's going to be ads in about 30 different magazines and she's going to have billboards in a few major cities. Her website is currently being built as we speak. I feel like she doesn't really get the credit that she really deserves. You know, when we're up on the podium, no one ever speaks about Doralie "Bad" Medina. She's a hard-working, independent woman. To become successful, you gotta listen to successful people. Anytime Al Haymon is giving some advice, she's listening. Anytime I give her some advice, she listens. Like I said before, you can never go against the teacher. Basically, she didn't want to connect with a huge celebrity like Floyd Mayweather, and a company like Mayweather Promotions and The Money Team, and not take advantage of the opportunity to benefit from it. She believes in longevity. She believes in loyalty and has been very loyal to me. She's been here for 4 years and there has not been one time that I wasn't able to call on her and she wasn't there. She came to us with nice things: Rolex watches, AP watches, a nice Porsche. She likes the finer things in life, but she doesn't believe in partying at the clubs all night. She continued to work hard, dedicating herself, being loyal and earning her stripes. She earned her spot as far as being one of the top players with The Money Team as well as Mayweather Promotions. She plays a major part, and the thing that we truly believe in is giving back.

BT: What's the official name again? The BadMedina Makeup Line?

DM: Yeah. That's actually a name that Floyd gave me, "BadMedina", so I decided to use that for my line and surprise him.

BT: Now that you're focusing on this new venture, does that mean you're not going to be Floyd's massage therapist anymore?

DM: I'm definitely still going to remain as his massage therapist. He's definitely okay with me doing interviews and photoshoots and promoting my line; he's definitely going to be understanding with that. We're partners, so he's going to be promoting it too and he'll be there for me if I need him to be somewhere. He definitely wants this to be my main focus, but I'm still here. I'm doing both things. I'm not going to leave him. That's just not in my character.

BT: How exactly does one start the process of coming up with their own makeup line?

DM: Well, I had a friend who helped me research companies that actually made lip gloss. Most were far away, but he actually found one in Northridge, in California where I'm from. It was actually pretty simple because I know exactly what I want. Once we found them, we needed to pick our colors. If there's something out there that I actually like, I can just show it to them. If I love the texture, if I love the color, they can actually duplicate it or tweak it and make it identical to exactly what I'm describing. It actually hasn't been difficult. When you know what you want, it actually comes pretty easy.

BT: So you're just starting off with lip gloss first before branching out into other areas?

DM: Yeah, I'm starting with lip gloss first because, since I was doing this own my own, I definitely had a budget, so I didn't want to come out with a whole bunch of stuff. But Floyd definitely knew I had ideas of eventually getting there and having my whole cosmetic line, so he's going to make it possible for me to get there sooner. I was originally gonna come out with just lip gloss, and then once I started profiting off of that, I was going to, from there, try to go to eye shadows, and lipsticks, and eye lashes, and everything. I mean, he's already on top of everything. Everyone wants me to just come out with everything at once - nail polish and all the beauty stuff - because he knows I'm so good at doing my makeup. He put me on blast on the show [All Access]. "All that makeup on your face. Why you have to wear all that makeup?" See, if it wasn't for all that makeup, I wouldn't be where I am now (laughing).

FM: As far as the names for the lip gloss, me, her, Earl Hayes, and Tiffani Laidler came up with them.

DM: We literally came up with them so fast. As soon as we saw one color, it was like, "How about this? How about that?" It took us not even 2 minutes for each lipstick. I mean, with Floyd's ideas, and then Hayes is brilliant, and then me and Tiffani being women, it was actually pretty simple. It didn't take long at all to think of any of the names. We're a smart little crew. I'm really excited and Floyd's definitely bouncing off the walls about it.

BT: I'm know Earl Hayes, but who is Tiffani Laidler?

FM: Tiffani is Marc Laidler's wife. I work hand-in-hand with Marc. That's my car guy. He started 310 Motors in his garage and it became a multi-million dollar business. You know, he had a few setbacks, but he's back better than ever. All the automobiles that I have, I gotta give credit to Marc. But his wife is Tiffani Laidler. She's a very, very smart lady and she's been working hand-in-hand with Doralie.

DM: He had introduced her to me basically just to kind of help me, but I had no idea what she was capable of. Her and Marc are amazing. I'm not even exaggerating. She's the one that's really, really, really pushing me, and she's a woman, so it's easier for me to communicate with her. She definitely gives me her opinion on what she thinks. She'll bring something to the table and be like, "What do you think about this?" If I don't like it, then we're not going to go through with it, but if I love it, then obviously we're going to proceed with whatever it is that she's thinking about. She definitely gives me things to think about. She's in the industry and she definitely knows what she's talking about.

BT: My ol' lady has been eavesdropping and she told me to ask you if you guys have already picked out the colors you'll be working with?

DM: Now, I have reds and yellows and just every single color. Originally, I was only going to do pastel colors because I wanted to stick to just stuff that I wear, but why not make something that's for everyone? I would definitely have a bigger audience if I'm able to sell every single color. Eventually my dream, and Floyd doesn't even know this...

BT: (Cutting in) Uh oh. You about to break a scoop inside of a scoop (laughing).

DM: (Laughing) I really keep things to myself and I don't talk too much about stuff, but I want to eventually have my own store where I have my own clothing line and like every single thing that I would wear in that store. So you basically go in there and you can buy swimsuits, you can buy heels, my own brand and other people's brand; everything would be available at BadMedina. You can go there and you can find just everything that you need; like a one-stop shop.

FM: The thing that I stress to people around me all the time, and Doralie will tell you this, but I preach success. People want the fame, right? Well having a fame and having success is two different things. You got people that's famous who walk the red carpet all the time, but they broke. Then you have successful people that's never walked a red carpet, but they can walk in any bank. So that's what we believe.

BT: That's wassup. Well, I know you'll let me know what's up, Champ, but Doralie, you'll definitely have to keep us updated on everything too. Do you want to let people know how they can follow you for more information?

DM: I really don't go on Twitter very much; I'm still getting used to it, but it's the same as my Instagram, which is @badmedina. And my Facebook is just Doralie Medina.
